The fixed iron sights were difficult to see in low light, so I painted the rear white and the front fluorescent orange, which helped a lot.
As a number of online reviewers pointed out, the front corners on the top of the magazine are very sharp! Even using the supplied loading tool I still managed to get poked occasionally. To save on Band-Aids (just kidding), I used a file to barely round off the front corners, removing only enough metal to blunt the sharp points. In my opinion, that is something they should do at the factory. Supplying only one magazine seems a bit cheap on Ruger’s part, so I bought a 2-pack of OEM magazines (Ruger part #90697). It should come as no surprise that they also came with sharp corners, so I plan to file them down, as well.
]]>Overall it’s a great pocket gun to carry with some high velocity cci stingers or such but plinking around with cheaper ammo is great but it does take a bit to wear in before it starts shooting super consistent but I have about 700 rounds through mine so far and it’s been an absolute blast!
